Tuscan Truffles & Vino Nobile Wine Experience

Enjoy the charming Tuscan countryside, the haunting beauty of the Tuscan forests and the breath-taking town of Montepulciano on a day spent hunting for truffles in the woods, tasting incredible wines, exploring the city both underground and above, and of course luxuriate in tasting fresh truffles.

Highlights:

  • Search for truffles with a professional truffle hunter and his dogs in the forest as he sniffs about and experience the surge of excitement as he starts digging for these edible treasures

  • Learn to recognize different truffles and their harvest times

  • Tour the Citta Sotterranea located under the noble palaces in the historic center of Montepulciano which is now being used as an aging cellar for Ercolani’s Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC wines in oak barrels

  • Enjoy unforgettable guided experience in the ancient cellar, tasting Ercolani’s wines accompanied by regional meats, cheeses and spreads produced by the family

  • Explore the medieval hilltop town, visit Piazza Grande, take in the views
